Power Surveying's UXO department includes Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) professionals, geophysicists and regulatory personnel to investigate and remediate a site. In addition, we can assist with the preparation of documents to satisfy CoE, DoD, Federal and State regulatory requirements. Although Power Surveying can self-perform all components of a successful UXO project, we have access to the world's most accomplished subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and personnel to handle any volume of work in any country. Power Surveying offers cost effective, innovative, state-of-the-practice geophysical UXO detection capabilties. |

Power Surveying assists its customers with the following UXO issues:
- Military munitions/explosives of concern (MEC) known or suspected on a property or installation site
- Public access to the suspected UXO site and the effectiveness of engineering controls
- Sites under DoD control, and the planned or mandated date of real estate transfer from DoD control to the owner
- The potential for MEC to contaminate soil and drinking water aquifers, or for them to be released into the air
- The potential institutional controls necessary to control DoD risk and risk to the public during real estate re-utilization

Power Surveying is ready to assist its customers in responding to UXO cleanup objectives and the increasing emphasis on risk management. Power Surveying is fine tuning its capabilties and developing new technologies to address these areas:
- UXO site characterization (surface and subsurface)
- UXO detection technologies and approaches (including advanced digital, single mode sensor arrays, and multi-mode sensor arrays)
- UXO Geo-referencing technologies (including advanced Differential GPS systems and Laser Positioning)
- Post Processing of survey data (including UXO discrimination modeling)
- UXO disposal, destruction and neutralization options
Power Surveying is well positioned to directly respond to UXO projects.
- Power Surveying EOD teams include SUXOS, Safety, QC, UXO lll, UXO ll, and UXO l trained personnel. All grades of experienced Geophysicists are available to handle UXO projects in the field including data collection and analysis.
- Power Surveying is proficient in the utilization of towed array geophysical sensors for UXO detection of subsurface targets.
- Power Surveying can perform underwater surveys and support data interpretation for aerial surveys.
- Power Surveying personnel have been involved in the testing of next-generation positioning systems and routinely assess new technologies.
- Power Surveying personnel are continuously developing new methodologies for quantifying risk vs. cost in a UXO cleanup, which incorporates statistical sampling design, site sampling (geophysical transects and anomaly excavations), geophysical prove-outs, and DoD acceptance testing criteria. These protocols allow clients and regulators to select a mutually agreeable cost-risk point.
- Power Surveying is a Small Business capable of providing Land Surveying, UXO Geophysics and remediation services. We are also able to field test and commercialize new UXO removal and disposal technologies as they become available.
The personnel at Power Surveying have worked with the Guaranteed Fixed Price Remediation (GFPR)
program. Presentations to major A&E firms, Insurance Carriers and the Corp of Engineers have lead the way to the utilization and issuance of this bold contracting vehicle for UXO sites.
